Threader Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", "our") operates the Employer Threader application and website at employerthreader.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our services. Threader Technologies Ltd is the data controller for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
We collect information you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, company name, role, and any other information you submit through our application forms or when using our tools. We also collect usage data automatically, including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and interaction patterns within our application.
We use the information we collect to provide and improve our services, manage your subscription, communicate with you about your account, send service-related notices, and respond to your requests and enquiries. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Employer Threader uses the Anthropic Claude API to power its strategic analysis tools. When you use a tool, relevant inputs (including content from uploaded documents) are sent to the Anthropic API for processing. Anthropic does not retain API input data beyond the duration of the request, and their API terms contractually prohibit using customer data for model training. We do not use your uploaded content or tool outputs to train AI models. Your strategic work stays yours.
Your account data, project data, and uploaded files are stored in the EU (Supabase, EU region). When you use AI-powered features, your inputs are processed by Anthropic's Claude API, which operates from US-based infrastructure. This transfer is necessary to provide the service and is covered by Anthropic's data processing terms. We do not transfer your stored data outside the EU for any other purpose.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies. Authentication is handled via Supabase Auth with email-based magic links. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
We use the following third-party services to operate Employer Threader: Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery), Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic Claude API (AI-powered analysis), and Stripe (payment processing). Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@employerthreader.com.
This website does not set cookies and does not use third-party analytics such as Google Analytics. We use a privacy-respecting first-party analytics measure that counts page views without cookies and without sharing data with third parties; it does not identify you. Preference settings (such as audio toggle state) are stored in your browser's local storage. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
Your subscription includes generous usage limits set at levels appropriate for normal use of the product. We reserve the right to manage usage that materially exceeds normal patterns for your plan, either through technical limits applied automatically or through direct contact. In practice this is rarely needed. If your usage is constrained and you believe it should not be, contact us and we will review.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
